sharing their knowledge, guiding their preparation,
and helping them build confidence for their stage performances.

Through this collaborative approach, learning extends beyond the classroom.
The younger students benefit from the guidance and encouragement of their seniors,
while the older students develop valuable leadership, communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills.

As our six young performers prepare to take the stage at the Youth Festival,
we celebrate not only their achievement but also the teamwork, creativity,
and shared learning that have made this experience meaningful.

Every student who stepped forward and participated in the preliminary round deserves appreciation. Your efforts, enthusiasm, courage, and willingness to learn have made this journey special.
Remember, being selected is one achievement, but having the confidence to participate,
give your best, and learn from the experience is an achievement in itself.
Every attempt helps you grow, every challenge teaches you something new,
and every experience prepares you for the next opportunity.

Keep learning, keep trying, and keep shining.
Your journey does not end here; it is only the beginning of many more wonderful opportunities ahead!

Pride and Prejudice: Reading Beyond the Story

A story becomes truly meaningful when children begin to see themselves and the world around them in its pages. As part of our Pride and Prejudice learning journey, we are delighted to bring our young learners an exciting series of competitions for Grades 1, 2, and 3. These activities are designed not merely as stage events, but as opportunities to discover the deeper value of reading, interpretation, creativity, and thoughtful expression.

Grade I – Story Narration - 7th and 8th October, 2026

Students will bring the story to life through narration, expressive actions, facial expressions, voice modulation, and intonation.

Grade II – Character Presentation - 8th and 9th October, 2026

Students will choose a character and explore their personality, qualities, role, and contribution to the story.

Grade III – Theme Presentation - 6th and 7th October, 2026

Students will explore themes such as pride, prejudice, first impressions, understanding others, and looking beyond appearances. Students will be shortlisted during the preliminary rounds, and finalists will have the opportunity to present their work. The final presentation dates will be announced separately.

From Reading to Understanding

Reading is more than knowing what happens next in a story. It encourages children to pause, observe, question, and understand. Through Pride and Prejudice, students encounter ideas such as pride, prejudice, first impressions, kindness, and understanding others - ideas that connect meaningfully with everyday life. They begin to realize that first impressions may not always tell the whole truth and that understanding someone before forming an opinion can make a difference.

Learning to See Beyond the Surface

Literature gives children a meaningful space to explore different perspectives and reflect on questions such as:

Do we sometimes judge people too quickly?

Can our first impression change?

Why is it important to understand before we judge?

Such reflection helps children develop empathy, awareness, thoughtful thinking, and a deeper understanding of people and perspectives.

We warmly encourage parents to motivate and support their wards to participate wholeheartedly. Your encouragement can help children approach the story with curiosity, prepare with enthusiasm, and step onto the stage with confidence.

Let us help our young learners discover that reading is not simply about finishing a story - it is about discovering ideas, understanding people, questioning assumptions, and connecting with the world around us. Because when children learn to look beyond a story, they also begin to look beyond first impressions in life.
