Highlights from Commerce Expo – 2024

On 21st September 2024, Primrose hosted an exciting Commerce Expo,
offering our students a platform to showcase their understanding of commerce through innovative projects and presentations.

The Expo featured diverse exhibits from students across various grades, highlighting their creativity and grasp of real-world business concepts.

The event was graced by Dr. A. Muthamma, IAS, Secretary to the Government (Art and Culture), who inaugurated the exhibition with an inspiring speech on the significance of commerce education in today’s fast-evolving world. Despite her busy schedule, Dr. Muthamma spent time visiting each stall, engaging with the students, and listening to their project presentations. In a heartwarming gesture, she purchased items from every stall, encouraging and motivating the young entrepreneurs. We extend our sincere gratitude to her for this special show of support.

Expo Highlights:
Ramp Walk: Showcased the evolution of Indian currency, blending fashion with financial history.

Skit on ‘Consumer Protection’: An engaging performance that raised awareness about consumer rights and safety.

Business Strategy Presentations:
Business models and strategies, linking them to real-world applications.

Creative Marketing Displays:
Product promotion and consumer behavior through hands-on displays.

We were also honoured to have special guests from HDFC, Sri Ramanujar Intellect Services, and LIC, who enriched the event by educating students and parents about the importance of financial literacy and career opportunities in these fields.

The day also featured vibrant tuck shops run by students and teachers, adding to the spirit of entrepreneurship.

The Commerce Expo 2024 was a resounding success, showcasing the talent, teamwork, and innovative thinking of our students. It not only deepened their understanding of commerce concepts but also cultivated essential skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication.

A special thanks to our Commerce Wing teachers — Mrs. Rajarajeswari S., Mrs. Suchita Tripathy, Mrs. Vidhyalakshmi S., and Ms. Lisa Jeniffer Boniface — for their thoughtful planning, and flawless execution. Your dedication made the day truly memorable for the entire school community.
