🎨 Kudos to Akshara V. of Class II! 🎨

Akshara V. of Class II has made Primrose proud by bagging the Third Prize in the prestigious Global Art Contest held in Chennai! Her journey began with the school-level contest, where her talent shone bright. She advanced to the Pondicherry State Level, and from there, she was selected to compete at the Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry State Level contest, held recently in Chennai.

When asked about her experience, Akshara shared, "I was initially scared seeing so many kids, but this contest taught me that it’s not about how many people compete, but about believing in yourself. Confidence is what matters!"

A heartfelt congratulations to Akshara and her supportive parents, whose encouragement played a vital role in her achievement.

Spandan, organized by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), is renowned for its high standards and challenging competitions that attract the brightest minds from across the country. Sci - Spark - 2024

On 21st October, 2024 , Primrose School held SciSpark - 2024, an event dedicated to showcasing the innovative thinking and scientific acumen of our young minds. Dr. Gajalakshmi, a distinguished Professor of Pollution Control and Environmental Engineering at Pondicherry University, honored us as the Chief Guest for the event. Her expertise and passion for environmental sustainability left a lasting impression on everyone present.

Dr. Gajalakshmi inaugurated the day with an insightful address, where she shared key ideas on solid waste management practices that can be implemented right within our school premises. Her emphasis on practical solutions for waste segregation, composting, and recycling offered both students and faculty new perspectives on eco-friendly practices. Dr. Gajalakshmi’s speech not only underscored the importance of sustainability but also encouraged our students to be proactive in their approach to environmental responsibility.

As Dr. Gajalakshmi visited each stall, she engaged deeply with the students, exploring their projects and ideas. The exhibition featured diverse scientific themes, from renewable energy models to water purification systems and waste reduction mechanisms, reflecting the students' creativity and dedication. She provided valuable feedback and lauded the students for their innovative ideas, offering suggestions that helped them see real-world applications of their projects. Her encouraging words motivated the students and gave them a boost of confidence to pursue their interests in science and environmental stewardship. As we reflect on this successful event, we extend our gratitude to Dr. Gajalakshmi for her presence and inspiration.

The students put up a mime, a skit and a science poem which added a special science flavour to the day. Thanks to the efforts put in by Mrs.Paquialatchoumy. 

Special thanks to Mrs. Savitha M., Mrs. Noreen Victor, and the entire science team for organizing the event so seamlessly. We also extend our gratitude to the support staff for their assistance whenever needed!
