A Celebration of Science, Sustainability, and Synergy 🌍

Primrose was buzzing with excitement as we proudly hosted Terra Verde ’25, our annual science exhibition. It was a special day where we celebrated curiosity, creativity, and our role in caring for the planet.

This year’s theme, “Sustainable Living and Green Innovation,” inspired our students to think deeply and come up with smart, thoughtful solutions. From creative models to interactive displays, every project reflected hard work and a desire to make the world a better place.

We were honoured to have Mrs. Ezhil Calpana, State Project Director, Department of Education, inaugurate the exhibition. She spent valuable time with the students, encouraging them and engaging with their ideas. Her warm interaction and genuine interest truly motivated our young learners.

We have seen the Inaugural Ceremony either by unveiling the screen or by ribbon cutting. For the very first time, in the history of Primrose and also our chief guest being an expert in the field of Chemistry, we have tried out a way not taken by man for the inauguration ceremony. The magic of Chemistry plays a crucial role here. We have used Sodium Hydroxide and Phenolphthalein indicator to bring out the vibrant pink colour. When phenolphthalein is added to sodium hydroxide, a strong base, it turns a pink colour. This happens because phenolphthalein is a pH indicator that changes colour in the presence of a base.

More than just a science fair, Terra Verde ’25 was a wonderful example of teamwork. A big thank you to all our teachers for guiding students every step of the way—with patience, dedication, and love for learning. Your support was clear in the confidence with which the students shared their ideas.

We also sincerely thank our non-teaching staff, whose efforts behind the scenes—from setting up stalls to managing the flow of the day—made everything run smoothly and cheerfully.

And to our dear parents, thank you for being there for encouraging our young scientists, and for showing such enthusiasm. Your kind words and interest gave our children a real sense of pride and joy.

As we wrap up Terra Verde ’25, we make out that Science, to us, is more than a subject—it’s a way of understanding and improving the world around us.
